Another great month at Paper Alfa. Again, the engine room proved quite efficient in August, with 27 posts being published, which, again, is a good run rate. Quality, however, is more important than quantity, so I hope that I am raising the bar this month again. Free educational pieces coupled with stories from my institutional past were published for all subscribers. Primers on Bond and STIR futures were well received, and I trust this has helped some of you who are not as familiar with those products.

Honoured and well proud of being a substack bestseller. This wouldn’t have been possible without the support of you all and your kind feedback. That’s all thanks to you.

We are also nearing the 1,000 subscriber mark, which I am hoping to be reaching in the weeks ahead. Crazy, really, and again, a big thank you! We are also spreading quite widely across the planet. 58 countries, to be more precise. Special shout-out to my first readers in Uganda, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.

Looking ahead, I am excited to be launching the Paper Alfa Macro Book, a front-to-back investment process that will cover everything from idea generation to portfolio construction and risk management. This will be both educational and fun.

On the model side, I will be exploring and publishing further strategies, which will hopefully be as useful to you as they have been for me over the years. Paying subscribers have seen a first glance this week, where I presented a very useful bond allocation model. I’m speeding up my Python skills, which will make things even more useful.

Summers in Britain are not that bad

Exciting times are ahead. I would expect the remaining third of the year to be a bit more bumpy, so I will make sure to keep everyone informed as my thoughts develop. On this note, I have published a first in the series of “En Route to Recession”.

Here is to a great September. Best of luck and success to everyone!

Your,
