really depends from where you are starting. I guess there is no firm blueprint for it but you will obviously need to start in some shape or form and get into a starting role somewhere. Not sure how difficult it is these days to get in. I guess if you are good in coding up things and have some sort of personal track record it helps. As its often the case, getting to know people and building a network will open up opportunities somewhere.
