April was a bit of a damp squib for markets. For those unfamiliar with the term, “damp squib" is an idiomatic expression that refers to something that fails to meet expectations or disappoints because it turns out to be less impressive or exciting than anticipated. The term originated from the idea of a "squib," which is a small explosive device typically used for practical jokes or fireworks displays. When a squib gets damp, it fails to ignite properly or produces only a weak explosion, hence the metaphorical use of "damp squib" to describe something that falls flat or fails to deliver the expected impact.
Well, that summarises the state of markets last month rather aptly.
The inverse of a damp squib could be said for Paper Alfa, where the models continued to fire on all cylinders.
After opening up the models to users through the TradingView platform, April saw continued strong demand for the scripts.
Access to the momentum & reversal models enables users to apply the models to any security of their liking. If you are interested, please get in touch. Please note that access is now limited to paying subscribers only. I will also introduce a user cap in due course.
April saw the overall number of followers climb above 2,000, which is a great achievement and well ahead of what I expected. Thank you to all new and existing followers. This is simply astonishing.
The number of articles and posts kept a steady pace last month, with a total of 20 articles being produced. A good mix of thought pieces, coupled with free educational content and chart updates, is what is powering the content machine nicely.
In order to broaden the spectrum of thought and content, I am blessed to have Macro D join the pack as a guest writer. He has been someone I have exchanged ideas and thoughts on Macro for many years. Macro D’s unique philosophical perspective in analysing macro from his perch is outstanding and will enrich us all.
As announced a few months ago, prices for access to this publication must be adjusted to reflect the added content and the increased demand for access to my models. Therefore, new pricing will kick in as of today. If you are an existing subscriber, don’t worry; nothing will change, and you will continue to enjoy the same content at the same price you originally subscribed to.
I am offering a 25% discount on all new subscriptions. This will have to be redeemed by next week, May 8th.
I am excitedly looking forward to what is to come. Work continues in the background to make more tools available to my readers. Macro D is busy adding content and thoughts to the site as we speak. We have forward momentum and this will continue as we enter the spring and summer months.
Thank you again for being part of this community. I am truly blessed and humbled by your continued support. Long may it continue.
My blessings to you all.
