Macro Visions for 2026
Part I
by Macro D
Now that 2025 is drawing to a close, allow me to offer a special, humble, and sincere thank you to all of you readers. Also, a heartfelt thank you to Paper Alfa for allowing me a space to share my macro thoughts and ideas.
In recent weeks, I’ve been tormented by a question that many of us would like to be able to answer without resorting to useless sophistries: “Will 2026 be a year that dwells under the diabolical aegis of Cassandra[1], or will it winter in the powerful and optimistic arms of Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz[2]?”
Let’s proceed in order and try to follow the path traced by the indomitable Cassandra. What do I imagine? Nothing good.
This is the first part of a three-part series where I am collecting my thoughts and offering my visions.
Let’s dig in.
