Sunday Thoughts
The last ATW of the year. I don’t have many inspiring thoughts for the last Sunday of the year. I am still full of food from the very enjoyable Christmas festivities I spent with my family in a foggy week in Normandy. I look back and am proud of what this year has brought. I have personally set out many goals as we started 2024. I have accomplished most, but I have also failed to reach a few. That’s not too bad. A reasonable hit rate with a heightened focus to attack the year running.
I have laid out my goal-setting approach in a post I recommend to anyone interested in revisiting.
I have also set goals for Paper Alfa, and I am thrilled to say that all of them have exceeded my expectations. We are on course to reach 5,000 subscribers shortly, a milestone I couldn’t envisage a year ago. I also reached more than 10,000 Twitter (X) followers, which is amazing. This publication is read in 100 countries. Thank you to each of you for your support and loyalty. Wishing you and your families already a prosperous and healthy 2025.
Since starting publishing in November 2022, this place has posted almost 400 articles, averaging roughly a post every other day. Quality, however, is way more important than quantity. As such, I couldn’t be happier that Macro D has joined me in providing timely and thought-provoking pieces this year. There is more to come, and I look forward to publishing high-quality pieces which will hopefully support your educational and investing journey. The trial is still open, so why not try it out for free for 7 days?
In the coming days, I will publish the results of the stationary buy-and-hold Paper Alfa portfolio for 2024 and set out any allocation changes for the coming year.
Let’s now read Macro D’s latest thinking before we briefly scan the week’s upcoming calendar. We then check out the 10 most important charts for the upcoming week before scanning the newest output of our asset allocation model.
